The Tom Herman contract at Texas is a large one.
After being hired as Texas' head football coach, reports immediately came out about what his contract could look like. Now, the wondering is over as the details of his five-year deal have been released.
According to USA Today, Herman is set to receive $28.75 million in basic compensation under financial terms for a five-year deal which was approved Saturday by the board of regents.
As far as a year-by-year breakdown, he'll be receiving a raise each season.
"Herman will be paid $5.25 million during the first year of the deal, and his compensation is scheduled to increase by $250,000 in each subsequent year."

- Year Two: $5.5 million
- Year Three: $5.75 million
- Year Four: $6 million
- Year Five: $6.25 million
