In today's crazy world of major college athletics' recruiting, rarely does something surprise us. We've seen hand-drawn pictures sent to high school football players and a four-star offensive tackle announce his commitment to Florida by pulling a dwarf caiman out of his pocket, after all.
What four-star basketball recruit Kerwin Roach did today was quite unexpected, though.
The 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard out of Houston committed to Texas today. That's not the surprising part. What was astonishing was how he announced his commitment.
Roach let the audience at his high school gym know what school he would be attending by dressing up a baby - presumably his sibling, though we're unsure - in Longhorn gear.
Roach, ranked the No. 71 player in the country by 247 Sports' Composite Rankings, had offers from Texas, Wichita State, California, Arkansas and Baylor, among others.
