Texas Tech head coach Chris Beard is a couple of days from leading his Red Raiders team into the Final Four.
The Red Raiders, the No. 3 seed in the West Region, are set to take on No. 2 seed Michigan State in the Final Four on Saturday night.
This is the first Final Four appearance for Beard as a head coach – technically, anyway.
Texas Tech’s head coach appeared on Scott Van Pelt’s SportsCenter on Wednesday night and explained how it’s not actually his first appearance.
“I’ve been to like 24 Final Fours, I was drinking draft beer in the lobbies….but I’ve been to the Final Four,” he explained.
Chris Beard with just a next level quote on SVP tonight when asked about him going to his first Final Four compared to Tom Izzo's eighth.

That’s a pretty great quote. If Beard has any Final Four nerves, he didn’t show them there.
Texas Tech and Michigan State are set to tip off at 8:49 p.m. E.T. on Saturday.
The game will be televised on CBS, with the winner advancing to the national title game to play either Virginia or Auburn.
