Jaylon Robinson, a four-star wide receiver in the class of 2018, announced his decommitment from Texas Tech this morning.
Robinson says that he thinks his initial choice of Texas Tech, which came back on October 23, was premature.
247Sports' composite rankings have Robinson No. 469 in the country overall. He is the No. 29 athlete, and the No. 64 recruit in the state of Texas.
Robinson has a number of other notable offers, including Baylor, Georgia, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Washington State, as well as a number of Group of Five programs.
Oklahoma appears to be the early favorite to ultimately land Robinson. The 247 crystal ball only has three predictions for Robinson so far, but all three are for Oklahoma. OU is the most recent offer for him, extending the potential scholarship on June 8.
Two days later, and he has reopened his recruitment, which is pretty telling. All three predictions came in after that scholarship offer.
