Once again, Patrick Mahomes is in Minneapolis to support his Texas Tech Red Raiders. The reigning MVP of the NFL still has a strong bond with his alma mater.
The Red Raiders could make history tonight by winning their first championship in program history. Chris Beard led his team to a victory over Tom Izzo and Michigan State on Saturday.
Texas Tech will need to outlast Virginia in order to achieve its ultimate goal. Stars like Jarrett Culver and Matt Mooney must have stellar performances in the biggest showdown of the year.
Although the players on the hardwood for Texas Tech will steal the show tonight, Mahomes is drawing attention before the game with his outfit.
Mahomes wore a Texas Tech shirt to show his support, but covered the Under Armour logo with a label that says Adidas. The superstar gunslinger currently has a deal with Adidas, and he clearly wants to represent the brand he works with.
ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale posted a photo with Mahomes at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Mahomes put the NFL on notice in his first year as the starter for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was so close to taking his team to the Super Bowl this past season.
We’ll see if Texas Tech can win the title with the star quarterback in attendance.
