The Texas Longhorns certainly aren’t the best college football program in the state right now, but according to the Remington Research Group, they’re still the most popular. Earlier this week, Remington released some statistics it put together based on an automated telephone survey regarding fandom in the Lone Star State.
The results? Texas fans comprise 32% of the state. Texas A&M came in at 16%, while Baylor (7.3%), Texas Tech (6.8%) and TCU (6.7%) rounded out the top five. 19% were unsure – the rest was made up of some smaller programs.
