One of the last remaining five-star recruits in the Class of 2020, RJ Hampton has narrowed down his school choice to four. With several of the top programs in the country eagerly awaiting his decision, Hampton has hinted at when when he’ll make the announcement.
Hampton’s top four includes Kansas, Kentucky, Memphis, and Texas Tech. The Red Raiders replaced Duke on his list.
According to ESPN’s Paul Biancardi, Hampton is planning on making his decision at the end of May. He had initially considered waiting until July to make the decision.
I recently spoke with R.J. Hampton. He plans on making his college decision at the end of May. He told me. ”I want to go where I fit in, can be myself & help a team win.” Choices are Memphis, Texas Tech, Kansas, & Kentucky. Hampton finished no.5 in the ESPN💯

Late last month, Hampton announced that he would be reclassifying to 2019 instead of 2020, instantly making him one of the top uncommitted prospects remaining in the country.
247Sports rates Hampton as the No. 5 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 2 combo guard in the country, and the No. 1 prospect from the state of Texas.
Kentucky and Memphis already have the top recruiting classes in their conferences.
247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions currently give the Jayhawks the edge. 60-percent of the predictions have him ending up a Jayhawk, with 20-percent choosing Memphis.
Could RJ Hampton be the latest big signing for Bill Self at Kansas?
