Beck fractured his foot last week.
Texas tight end Andrew Beck will miss the 2017 season after undergoing foot surgery, the Longhorns announced today.
Beck suffered a broken foot last week and was said to be out at least “6-to-8 weeks.” However, the injury will indeed cost him his senior season, though it remains to be seen if Beck will eventually apply for a medical redshirt.
In three seasons, Beck has played in 37 games, making 16 starts. He caught four passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns in 2016.
