WVU's Clint Trickett Posts Heartfelt Note To Mountaineers Fans After Retirement

Friday afternoon, it was announced that West Virginia senior quarterback Clint Trickett would not be playing in his team's Liberty Bowl contest against Texas A&M. Trickett, it's been reported, has suffered from five concussions (two of which he did not tell his coaching staff about) in the past 14 months. A few hours after the decision became public, Trickett has taken to Twitter to thank West Virginia's fan base. While his career began at Florida State, he jokingly claims that the "country roads" took him home.

Let's hope Trickett finds success in his new career - he reportedly has hopes of becoming a coach soon.
