Duke-UConn Game At IZOD Center Set For December 18

Today's a big day for news about fun non-conference college basketball match-ups. One of the most intriguing games is between two of the sport's most powerful programs over the last 20 years. Defending national champion UConn will make the trip down to the Meadowlands to take on ACC power Duke.

The two programs share a lot of history, despite only playing nine games in their history. Duke won the first four match-ups in 1964, 1976, 1990, and 1991, while UConn captured the next four games of the series in 1994, the 1999 National Championship, early in the 1999-2000 season, and the 2004 Final Four. The two last met in early 2009, which resulted in a 68-59 Duke win in a game between Top-15 teams.
