Kansas, Oklahoma Split No. 1 Rankings In Week 9 College Basketball Polls

College basketball polls from Week 9.

Oklahoma fans are likely still smarting from Thursday night's College Football Playoff loss to Clemson, but good news Sooner fans: your basketball team is really, really good. The Sooners, led by superstar Buddy Hield, sit at 12-0, one of just three undefeated teams in all of Division I college hoops.

Oklahoma's big win against another top Big 12 team, Iowa State, combined with a loss to former No. 1 Michigan State, vaults it to the top spot in this week's Coaches' Poll. Over in the AP, however, another Big 12 team has claimed the top spot: Kansas.

Tonight, we have a rare battle of top-ranked teams between the Jayhawks and Sooners on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET. Both teams play a fun brand of basketball, and should be fighting for No. 1 seeds all year. We can't wait.

Here are the full AP and Coaches' Top 25 polls.
