Mick Cronin Says That "If They Lakers Were Smart" They Would Hire Kevin Ollie

Mick Cronin's Cincinnati squad played three very tight games against newly crowned national champion UConn this year, going 1-2 against the Huskies with an average margin of victory in the games of 4.3 points. Cronin is clearly a fan of the job that Ollie has done in two years as head coach, and believes that his ceiling as a coach is very high, as evidenced by a quote about the UConn coach.

The Los Angeles Times has already written about the possibility of L.A. native Ollie coming home to coach the Lakers, and Cronin has given his coaching rival an endorsement for that job as well.

Cincinnati and UConn will likely be the standard-bearers for the American Athletic Conference going forward with Louisville departing this summer for the ACC, so Cronin may have an ulterior motive there as well, but Ollie will definitely be a hot commodity in the coaching world going forward.
