Photo: Check Out UConn Football's Awesome New Field Design

The Connecticut football program hasn't been too successful in recent seasons.

Since Randy Edsall departed from the program in 2010, the Huskies have been one of the worst programs among big schools. UConn went 3-9 in 2013, 5-7 in 2012, and 5-7 in 2011. Perhaps a new field design will help UConn this fall.

The Huskies will be playing on a differently painted playing surface this season. Check it out:

Bob Diaco has taken over the UConn program. The 41-year-old was previously the defensive coordinator at Notre Dame.

UConn opens the season Friday at 7 p.m. E.T. against BYU.
