Four-star power forward Romeo Weems is off the board. The 2019 prospect announced his commitment a short time ago.
Weems is the No. 7 power forward and No. 37 overall recruit in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He held offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Oregon, among others.
Yet Weems committed to DePaul over all of them. He is the first commit for the Blue Demons in the 2019 cycle.
Romeo Weems is a heck of a pull for Dave Leitao. The Blue Demons snag the No. 37 Player in the @247Sports Composite.

The last four-star player to enroll at DePaul was Billy Garrett in 2013. Of course, since Weems has not signed anything yet, he could always change his mind.
After all, four-star point guard Tyger Campbell was committed to DePaul for a few months before changing his mind. Campbell eventually announced for UCLA in February.
But if Weems does wind up at DePaul, what an addition he would be for a program that hasn’t had a winning season since 2007 and hasn’t made the NCAA Tournament since 2004.
Weems could sign as soon as the fall, so the Blue Demons have to hold onto him for a little less than six months.
