The Cleveland Cavaliers are taking their interest in Dwyane Wade to social media. Today, July 5, the NBA Champs began following Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, on Twitter. Wade responded by following the team on Instagram.

Despite being offered the $20 million annually he was seeking from the Miami Heat, Wade is chatting up the Cleveland Cavaliers. Huffington Post sports columnist Jordan Schultz reported the news early Tuesday morning:
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the Cavs currently have no cap space and could only offer Wade their $3.4 million mid-level exception – a price much smaller than the price the player was demanding.

Wade averaged 19 points, 4.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game last season with Miami, but his reunion between LeBron James may seem more favorable at this point in his career. The duo spent four seasons together in Miami, winning titles in both 2011 and 2012. “Relationships are important people!” the athlete Tweeted on Monday, July 4, perhaps alluding to tension with his current team or his possible reasons for wanting to leave the Heat.

While rumors of Wade’s signing with the Cavs have yet to be confirmed, Windhorst reported that Wade has canceled his meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks, which was set for Wednesday, July 6.
