The No. 5 point guard in the country will commit this week.
Jersey City (N.J.) Hudson Catholic five-star point guard Jahvon Quinerly will announce his college commitment on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
Quinerly originally committed to Arizona in August but reopened his recruitment in October.
Quinerly's decommitment from Arizona came on the heels of the FBI's investigation into college basketball. Quinerly wasn't directly named in the probe, but the FBI claims a top Arizona assistant took bribe money with some earmarked for a "highly touted point guard prospect" who committed to the Wildcats “around three days" prior to August 11.
Quinerly announced his commitment to Arizona on August 8.
Now, he is expected to choose a different group of Wildcats. Predictions have been rolling in for Villanova in Quinerly's 247Sports Crystal Ball.
Villanova has pursued the standout guard for some time, and was viewed as a legit contender for his services before he picked Arizona.
Here is Quinerly's Crystal Ball.
Quinerly is the No. 5 point guard and the No. 25 overall player in the 2018 class, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
We'll update you on his decision Wednesday.
