Kelsey Barlow has been a big part of the Purdue basketball team over the past few years. However, after being dismissed from the team this past season for a team rules violation, he had to take his talents elsewhere.
Elsewhere turns out to be the University of Illinois-Chicago, ESPN is reporting. Barlow will transfer and join the Flames on the hardwood in 2013-14 after he sits out the required transfer year. Having a year off before joining the team could play huge dividends for Barlow his senior year.
UIC has been a bottom-feeder in the Horizon League the past few seasons, so they are surely glad to add a player of Barlow’s caliber.
