The Wisconsin Badgers have a tough matchup this weekend against the Northwestern Wildcats, and that challenge could get even harder because of an injury to their offense.

Last weekend, quarterback Alex Hornibrook rebounded fairly well from his lackluster performance at Michigan. In Wisconsin's game against Illinois, he finished with 188 passing yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Unfortunately, he won't have the chance to shine this weekend, as Hornibrook will miss Saturday's game because of a concussion.

Hornibrook is experiencing a slight decline in his numbers this season, as he currently has just 11 passing touchdowns and six interceptions. Nonetheless, losing leadership at the quarterback position will certainly hurt the Badgers in some capacity.

Wisconsin will have to rely heavily on Jonathan Taylor, who was outstanding last weekend with 159 rushing yards. At this pace, the dynamic tailback could replicate his statistics from the 2017 season.

Freshman quarterback Danny Vanden Boom will see his first start of the season. The Badgers and Wildcats are set to kick off at 12:00 p.m. ET from Ryan Field.

The game will be on FOX.
