Illinois vs. Nebraska preview:

Illinois enters the matchup coming off of back-to-back losses by 20+ points. This doesn't bode well for the Illini as they take on one of the top teams in the country. They didn't play last week, though, so their preparation has to certainly be in place, not that it's likely to make much difference.

Nebraska is undefeated this season and has scored 35 or more points in three of their four games. They'll look to continue their onslaught by dominating an Illinois team that will have no answer for QB Tommy Armstrong Jr., who has thrown for 931 yards and eight touchdowns this year, with only one interception.

Illinois won last year's contest 14-13 on a last-second touchdown pass with ten seconds left. The Huskers are 9-3 versus the Illini, historically.

Illinois vs. Nebraska prediction:

Nebraska cruises to an easy win at home. The Nebraska offense proves to be too much for Illinois to handle and the Illini are unable to get the ball moving on their own end, as the Nebraska defense is able to stifle RB Ke-Shawn Vaughn for the majority of the game.
