With this college basketball season just getting into the swing of things, it appears the sweepstakes for several top recruits in the class of 2019 has begun. Fortunately for the Indiana Hoosiers, they just landed one of the best talents available.

Trayce Jackson-Davis is considered an elite prospect in high school, and now, he'll have the chance to shine in the Big Ten. Michigan State and Iowa were in the mix for his commitment, but he ultimately chose Indiana.

In a simple message to his supporters on Twitter, Jackson-Davis announced that he'll play college hoops for the Hoosiers.

Here is his announcement:

Jackson-Davis is listed as the No. 16 player in the country, per 247Sports.

Clearly, Archie Miller is already making a significant impact for the Hoosiers when it comes to recruiting. Although this season might not have championship aspirations, the future is certainly bright.

At the very least, Indiana will have the star power of Jackson-Davis to rely on for next season.
