There might not be anyone in America more enthusiastic about college basketball than Dick Vitale. Whether you love him or hate him, you can't deny Dickie V loves the game.
Vitale isn't shy about expressing his opinion either. He lets his thoughts be known.
Vitale thinks big things could be in store for a premier program that has fallen off recently.
He's calling for "a banner year" for Indiana.
The Hoosiers missed the postseason last year under Archie Miller, but picked up a commitment from coveted in-state five-star Romeo Langford and officially welcomed back all-conference forward Juwan Morgan, who withdrew from the NBA Draft this week.
With Langford and Morgan leading the way, Indiana is expected to be near the top of the Big Ten again. But can next year's group end the program's string of failures in the conference tournament?
More importantly, can they reach the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 26 years? It seems crazy to believe 1993 was the last time IU went that far in the Big Dance, but it was.
We'll see how next year plays out, but Dickie V is expecting big things.
