Indiana wide receiver Simmie Cobbs is turning pro.

The first team All-Big Ten selection announced his decision moments ago on Twitter.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound pass catcher could have returned to Bloomington as a redshirt senior, but is electing to capitalize on an impressive bounce back season after he missed much of the 2016 season with an injury.

Cobbs finished the 2017 campaign with 72 receptions, 841 yards and eight touchdowns. He cracked the 1,000-yard mark in 2015 when he went for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns on 60 receptions as a sophomore.

Indiana was 5-7 in 2017, with a 2-7 record in conference play.
