ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit Admits He "Completely Underestimated" Iowa

Don't look now, but the Iowa Hawkeyes are 7-0 and have the inside track to the Big Ten title game. The Hawkeyes, who absolutely blew out Northwestern behind 294 rushing yards Saturday, are finally starting to make believers out of nay-saying analysts. ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit is among them.

Sunday morning, Herbstreit, who picked against Iowa Saturday morning, admitted he "whiffed" on selecting the Wildcats, who fell 40-10.

">@HawkeyeFootball today. Thought injuries were too much. Boy did I whiff! Congrats Hawks-Lookin good!! #IOWAvsNU

At this point, Iowa is a legitimate threat in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes have Maryland, Indiana, Minnesota, Purdue and Nebraska - all winnable games. Could they knock off the Big Ten East champ in December? People are starting to believe it's possible.
