The Iowa Hawkeyes were able to dispatch Northwestern this week without the services of junior forward Tyler Cook, but may have to go a little while longer without him.
Per HawkeyeNation, following the 73-63 win over the Wildcats, Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery announced that Cook would be day-to-day with an unspecified injury.
“When he gets back (to Iowa City), he’ll see the doctor. We’ll see what happens,” the coach added.
Cook leads the Hawkeyes in minutes per game, points per game, rebounds per game, and field goal attempts per game.
Through 15 games this season, Cook has led Iowa in scoring seven times, led in rebounds seven times, and led in assists four times.
The Hawkeyes have another tough test ahead of them this Saturday when they take on No. 16 Ohio State. Iowa is 2-2 against ranked teams this season, and 2-3 in Big Ten conference games.
The game will be played at 2:30 p.m. EST on BTN.
