The Iowa Hawkeyes are continuing to build a very strong Class of 2020. Their latest addition is a running back capable of carrying a heavy workload.
On Thursday, three-star running back Leshon Williams announced that he would be committing to Iowa. The announcement comes only a day after he announced that the Hawkeyes had given him a scholarship offer.
247Sports rates Williams as the No. 985 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 66 running back prospect in the country, and the No. 14 prospect from the state of Illinois.
Williams rushed for 2,115 yards and 24 touchdowns at Richards High School last season.

Williams marks the tenth player Iowa has gotten a commitment from in the Class of 2020, tying them with Penn State and Northwestern for the most in the Big Ten.
247Sports currently ranks Iowa as the No. 15 overall recruiting class in the country, and No. 3 in their conference.
Williams is one of two running backs set to join the Hawkeyes in 2020, with Iowa-native Gavin Williams giving his commitment earlier this year.
Both players may have to wait a while to see the field though. Incumbent starters Mekhi Sargent and Toren Young still have two more years left to play.
