Iowa Basketball Suspends Guard Peter Jok After Arrest Earlier Today

Earlier today, Iowa guard Peter Jok was arrested for driving his moped with a license that was suspended or revoked, a charge that could carry a maximum sentence of a year in jail. This was Jok's second arrest, as he was booked in May for drunk driving, which led to his license getting revoked. According to CBS 2 Iowa, "police pulled Jok over on his moped just before midnight for an improper rear light and failure to have a safety flag attached to his moped."

After the arrest, Hawkeyes coach Fran McCaffery released a statement saying that his sophomore guard is suspended indefinitely, and that the team will "monitor his progress."
