Iowa football hosts Northwestern on Saturday, which could be a big one for the super-tight Big Ten West battle.
It could also have big ramifications for Iowa’s 2019 recruiting efforts.
The Hawkeyes will have a number of current commits on campus for the game, as well as top uncommitted targets. Among them: teammates Dallas Fincher and Bryce Mostella from Michigan’s Kentwood East High School.
Mostella is among the highest-ranked players on the list. He is a four-star defensive end, ranked No. 337 in the nation. Back in August, he told Hawkeye Nation that Iowa was “definitely in his top five.” Michigan is considered the favorite for him as of now.
Bryce Mostella’s teammate Dallas Fincher, another Iowa football target, comes from a Big Ten family and has some serious offers.
Fincher, a three-star offensive lineman, is the son of former Michigan State OL Mark Fincher.
Kentwood East High offensive lineman Dallas Fincher and Bryce Mostella, a defensive lineman, return to Iowa City after visiting for the recruiting tailgate in late July. Mostella is a four-star prospect with offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and many others. Fincher is seen as a three-star and boasts opportunities from Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin and quite a few others.
Overall, Hawkeye Nation lists 26 different recruits that are expected to be at Kinnick Stadium this weekend.
The Hawkeyes’ class is currently 16 players deep, and ranked No. 36 in the 2019 recruiting rankings.
