Iowa football had a huge weekend recruiting, and it rolled right over into Monday. The Hawkeyes just added a commitment from a coveted out-of-state defensive end.

Taking to Twitter, Winona (Minn.) High School three-star defensive end Aaron Witt announced that he would be committing to the Hawkeyes. Witt officially visited Iowa this month.

A former Minnesota commit, Witt chose the Hawkeyes over the Golden Gophers, Iowa State and more.

Witt is a three-star prospect ranked No. 687 in the Class of 2020, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He is the No. 35 strong-side defensive end in the country, and the No. 5 prospect from the state of Minnesota.

Over his past two years at Winona, Witt has recorded 127 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, and an interception.

Witt joins an Iowa recruiting class that is currently ranked No. 18 in the nation, and No. 3 in the Big Ten Conference.

Highlighting the class are a pair of four-star recruits: pro-style quarterback Deuce Hogan from Texas, and in-state defensive end Logan Jones.

Iowa finished the 2018 season at 9-4, culminating in a win over Mississippi State in the Outback Bowl.
