Iowa Jokingly Checked With Davidson To Make Sure Steph Curry Wasn't Still Eligible

Back in 2008, the sports world was introduced to Davidson guard Steph Curry, who led the Wildcats to the Elite Eight behind his ridiculous sharp-shooting. Curry, as we all know, has since moved on to become one of the best players in the NBA. The Iowa Hawkeyes, who play Davidson in their opening matchup in this year's NCAA Tournament, are very happy about that fact, apparently.

Sunday, after seeing the matchup announced, Iowa's Twitter account reached out to Davidson to make sure that Curry is no longer eligible. The Golden State Warriors chimed in to confirm that he's a member of their squad now. Check it all out:

The Hawkeyes and Wildcats will do battle Friday night at 7:20 PM EST. Things won't be so friendly then.
