The Iowa Hawkeyes emerged from the Big Ten to earn a No. 7 seed in the South Region. Their first round opponents will be the 10th-seeded Davidson Wildcats out of the Atlantic 10. The winner of this game has a likely date with No. 2 seed Virginia in the next round, which will be a major test considering the Cavaliers' vaunted defense and patient offense.

Prediction: Davidson is looking for its first NCAA Tournament win since Steph Curry led them to the Elite Eight in 2008. The Wildcats have a quartet of double-digit scorers, led by Tyler Kalinoski (17.1 ppg). Iowa, meanwhile, relies on the tandem of big men Jarrod Uthoff and Aaron White.
The Hawkeyes were upset by Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament and some thought might have been overseeded here. We still like them to pull out the victory and advance to play Gonzaga.
