Iowa's Most-Likely Bowl Game Heading Into The Final Weekend

Iowa's players get ready to take the field.

The Iowa Hawkeyes finished the regular season 8-4. Let’s take a look at which bowl game the team is currently slotted for by most analysts.

Iowa capped off the 2016 regular season by throttling Nebraska, 40-10, on Thanksgiving weekend. It was a good way to springboard into bowl prep for Kirk Ferentz's crew.

Looking ahead, it seems Iowa is likely bound for either the Music City Bowl or Holiday Bowl.

According to CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm, the Hawkeyes will face Kentucky in the Music City Bowl. The Sporting News foresees Iowa taking on Pac-12 foe Washington State in the Holiday Bowl.

The Outback Bowl is also a possibility, depending on how many teams the Big Ten gets into the College Football Playoff and how the conference fills out the rest of its bowl slots.

The Holiday Bowl will be played Dec. 27, while the Music City Bowl is scheduled for Dec. 30.
