Scott Frost's first season as head coach of Nebraska finished on a particularly sour note. A valiant comeback attempt on the road against Iowa was snuffed out on the final play.

But Frost had a very telling comment when comparing his Cornhuskers to the Hawkeyes.

"Iowa’s a bigger, stronger football team,” Frost said, per Omaha World-Herald. “That’s right now. I never thought I’d see or hear that or say that about a Nebraska football team. That we can fix. We can get bigger, we can get stronger."

Nebraska was down 28-13 in the third quarter, but rallied in the fourth to tie the game.

But despite overcoming a 15-point deficit to Iowa, the Hawkeyes kicked a game-winning field goal on the final play of the game to win 31-28.

Frost's first season as head coach of Nebraska finished with a 4-8 record that included an 0-6 start.

The Cornhuskers rallied in the second half of the season, winning four of their next five games - all at home.
