Iowa is building an impressive 2020 recruiting class. Kirk Ferentz and his staff currently have 12 players committed, all of whom are ranked in the top 900 in the country by 247Sports.

On late Friday night, the Hawkeyes added No. 12. Minnesota native Yahya Black, a three-star defensive end, made his commitment.

Black joined Twitter last August, but rarely uses it. His announcement was his first original tweet ever, and he certainly made it count.

With Yahya Black's commitment, the Iowa Hawkeyes are up to No. 21 in the class of 2020 team recruiting rankings.

That is good enough for fourth in the Big Ten, behind Ohio State (No. 8), Northwestern (No. 19), and Michigan (No. 20).

Penn State has fallen to No. 5 in the Big Ten and No. 23 overall with some recent decommitments.

247 ranks Black No. 765 overall, and No. 40 among strong-side defensive ends. He's the No. 6 player in the state of Minnesota.

He has seven reported scholarship offers, including Iowa and his home state Big Ten program Minnesota. Buffalo and Kansas State are among the other programs to extend scholarships offers to him.

He is the third defensive end and fourth defensive lineman to join the Hawkeyes class. The top player in the group, four-star Logan Jones, is the No. 13 player at the position in the class of 2020.
