College football helmets are some of the most distinct and iconic pieces of equipment in all of sports. The Big Ten Conference has the distinction of owning some incredible designs for their teams' helmets. But only one can be the top dog.

In a recent ranking from 247Sports analyst Matt Howe, the Ohio State Buckeyes helmet ranked No. 3 overall and No. 1 in the Big Ten. Howe explained that the helmet design combined with their iconic stickers make it one of the best in the sport.

"The Buckeyes earn the No. 3 spot with a helmet that they have used since 1979. In my opinion, the helmet plus the stickers make it one of the most recognizable helmets in all of college football," Howe wrote.

The Ohio State helmet wasn't the only Big Ten team to make the list though. Penn State finished sixth, while Michigan was right behind the Nittany Lions at seventh.

Ohio State really does have one of the most distinct looks in all of sports. The white, silver and red in their design combined with the Buckeye stickers on their helmets makes them instantly recognizable.

That isn't to say that schools like Notre Dame, Texas, Alabama, Miami and Michigan don't have unique looks too. There will always be debate as to which teams have the best looks.

For Matt Howe, the Ohio State Buckeyes are the leaders in the Big Ten Conference.
