Photo: Someone Made A Trophy For Today's Maryland/Penn State Game, Gave It To The Terrapins' Coaches

After Maryland went to Happy Valley and took down Penn State today, Terrapins coach Randy Edsall said that the winner of the game between the two squads should get a trophy. Apparently, someone had that idea before the matchup even happened, and made a trophy to commemorate the "Happy Valley Bowl," which was given to the Terrapins' coaching staff after the game, according to offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Michael Locksley.

This is the first time that the two schools have met since 1993, and Penn State leads the all-time series, 35-2-1, so this probably isn't a game that deserves a trophy just yet. Still, the contest was hotly contested, and now that the two teams will play every year, maybe we'll consider this one of the biggest rivalries in the Big Ten down the road.
