Photos: Maryland Football Unveils Awesome 'Star Spangled' Uniforms, Announces 10-Year Extension With Under Armour

Maryland and Under Armour's apparent attempt to do what Oregon and Nike have done will continue for another 10 years. The Terrapins and the apparel brand announced today an extension of their contract that will allow UA to continue to be the sole outfitter of Maryland athletics through 2023-24.

In addition to that announcement, Maryland and Under Armour unveiled new uniforms that the Terps will wear this weekend against West Virginia. They're pretty awesome.

Check out Maryland's "Star Spangled" uniforms that pay tribute to the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Baltimore.

From the release:

The uniforms highlight the poem “Defence of Fort McHenry, “which is inscribed onto the jersey sleeve, helmet, and footwear. The logo on the helmet and pant features the outline of Forg McHenry and an image of the famous flag that flew through the night of the Battle, which inspired our national anthem. Additionally, team captains will don red belts as American military captains did during the Battle.

Maryland and West Virginia are set to kickoff at 12 p.m. E.T. in College Park, Md.
