The Maryland men's basketball team lost a flurry of players to transfer in April. Today, they landed one of their own. Former Georgia Tech forward Robert Carter is transferring to College Park, Md.

Carter, who will likely sit out next season and have two years of eligibility remaining, gives the Terps much needed depth and talent on the front line. Former forwards Charles Mitchell and Shaquille Cleare transferred out of the program in recent months. Maryland also lost guards Nick Faust and Roddy Peters to transfer.
For Georgia Tech last season, Carter averaged roughly 11 points and eight rebounds per game.
Suddenly, Maryland's future looks quite bright.

Mark Turgeon has missed the NCAA Tournament in each of his first three seasons at Maryland, but the Terps will be a probable tournament team in 2014-15.
