Three Michigan State Players Raise Fists During National Anthem

Three Michigan State players raised their fists in protest during the national anthem ahead of their game against Wisconsin.

For the most part, the protests we've seen from athletes during the playing of our national anthem ahead of contests have come from the professional level. Saturday, a few college athletes got involved. Three Michigan State players - Delton Williams, Gabe Sherrod and Kenney Lyke - raised their fists ahead of their contest against Wisconsin.

MLive captured a photo of the moment.

Sherrod, earlier in the week, hinted that he and a few of his teammates would be making some sort of statement.

It remains to be seen if Michigan State will comment on the situation. The Badgers lead the Spartans 13-3 just before halftime.
