Antjuan Simmons, a four-star linebacker from Ann Arbor, is heading to a Michigan school after all... Michigan State.
Simmons was a long-time Ohio State commit, an interesting choice for someone that grew up in the shadow of The Big House. He decommitted from the Buckeyes back in November, but he's not going to be a Wolverine. Rather, he'll be making the move to East Lansing.
He announced the new commitment on Twitter earlier today.
Simmons is the No. 20 outside linebacker in the country, per 247Sports.
With his commitment, Michigan State now has the No. 29 2017 recruiting class in the country, and the sixth best group in the Big Ten.
Interestingly, Simmons commitment comes on the same day that another former Buckeye pledge, Tyjon Lindsey, also chose a different Big Ten school. Both are sizable losses for Urban Meyer and his staff, but Ohio State still has the No. 2 class in the country. We think Ohio State will be okay.
