If you're a big-time college athlete, it can be tempting to want to read articles, comments and social media posts about yourself. Thursday night, according to Matt Charboneau of The Detroit News, Valentine announced that he'd deleted the Twitter application from his phone to remove the temptation of reading comments on his play.
Valentine's discipline was already tested too - he said he wanted to look after his triple-double against Kansas Tuesday night, but stopped himself.
