One day after some disappointment on the recruiting trail, Michigan State bounced back. They did so in a huge way.

On Sunday, four-star quarterback Dwan Mathis flipped his commitment from Michigan State to Ohio State. However, the Spartans landed a big fish of their own on Monday night, when five-star offensive tackle Devontae Dobbs announced his commitment.

Dobbs, who plays for Belleville (Mich.) High School, is the No. 2 recruit in Michigan and the No. 3 offensive tackle in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

He is also the No. 13 overall recruit in the nation.

Dobbs held 30 scholarship offers, including ones from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma and USC. With his commitment, Michigan State has now landed pledges from two of the top three recruits in the state of Michigan, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
