Drake Harris Still Committed to MSU, But Looking At Other Schools

A big time 2014 recruit.

Drake Harris, currently a junior at Grand Rapids Christian High School, is one of the top rated wide receivers in the country. Along with playing football, he is also a standout star in basketball. Harris originally committed to Michigan State over the summer with the intent of playing both basketball and football.

But this week, Harris said that he is re-opening his recruitment, while still being committed to Michigan State. He also mentioned that he'd decided to play college football exclusively. Alabama, Ohio State and Notre Dame along with other schools are trying to recruit 6-foot-4, 180-pound wide receiver. The 2014 prospect has become very popular on Twitter, retweeting many fans from all different schools trying to persuade him one way or other.

During the MSU vs. OSU game, where the Spartans pulled out a 59-56 victory, Harris was in attendance and was very popular among the student section. The Izzone cheered and chanted his name numerous times before the game and during half time when Michigan State's head football coach, Mark Dantonio, escorted him into the men's locker room.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Dantonio said he will continue to pursue Harris and "will not give up without a fight."
