Draymond Green Gave A Record $3.1 Million Donation To Michigan State

In the last year, former Michigan State basketballs tar Draymond Green transformed from a solid role player to an invaluable part of the NBA champion Golden State Warriors. In early July, Green agreed to a five-year, $82 million contract with Golden State, and he's giving a chunk of that back to his alma mater.

Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press has more information on how the gift will be allocated:

The gift is the largest single gift to MSU athletics from a former MSU athlete. The Draymond Green Strength and Conditioning Center at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center will be named in his honor.

The gift, pending board of trustees approval, also will fund an endowment for the men's basketball program.

That is an extremely impressive gift, but not too surprising. Michigan State basketball alumni, especially Green, are incredibly dedicated to their program.
