Sunday, the Michigan State Spartans scored a huge upset, knocking off 2-seed Virginia to reach the Sweet 16 for the fourth year in a row. Senior Travis Trice was a major reason why, as the Spartans guard scored 23 points on 7-of-15 shooting. Apparently, he had a little extra motivation to get the job done, provided by another former MSU star.
CBS Sports' Chip Patterson reported Sunday that Trice received a text from NBA star Draymond Green before the contest. Green's advice was simple, but effective. Trice clearly made good on his promise.
