The war of words between Ohio State and Michigan State continued Wednesday night, though at this point, it involves people who won't even be playing in Saturday's game. Earlier in the week, Spartans linebacker Taiwan Jones took a bit of a shot at sidelined Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller, claiming that the team's current signal-caller, J.T. Barrett, is a "way better QB" than the injured senior. Wednesday afternoon, Miller responded, implying on Twitter that he'd never heard of Jones.
Now, in response to Miller's dig, former Spartans cornerback Darqueze Dennard, who was selected in the first round of this past year's NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, has issued a warning. He thinks Miller is "barking up the wrong tree."
Saturday's contest was already expected to be highly emotional, and a Twitter war between injured/graduated players probably won't suffice as locker room material. But it still shows the bad blood between the two programs.
