Mark Dantonio Comments On Idea Of Michigan State's Season Being Over After Nebraska Loss

Following its controversial loss to Nebraska on Saturday, Michigan State's chances of making the College Football Playoff are fairly slim. The Spartans still control their own destiny in the Big Ten, but it's tough to imagine a one-loss Big Ten team making the field. This is pretty disappointing for Mark Dantonio's team, which started the season ranked in the top 10 with championship hopes.

Michigan State's coach was asked about the idea of his team's season being over during the Big Ten coaches' teleconference this afternoon.

His response is pretty great.

All hope should not be lost in East Lansing, Mich. An 11-1 season is still in play; if Michigan State can achieve that, who knows where they'll stand.

The Spartans are set to play Maryland on Saturday before facing Ohio State in Columbus Nov. 21.
