Michigan State 5-Star Signee Jaren Jackson Makes Huge Jump In Final National Rankings

The final 247Sports Composite Rankings are out for the 2017 basketball recruiting class.

Every major recruiting site unveiled final national rankings for the class of 2017 today. ESPN, Rivals, Scout and 247 have all finalized their ratings for this year's crop of seniors.

The 247Sports Composite Rankings combines all four sites into one, final product. In that metric, a five-star Michigan State signee made a huge jump.

La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere power forward Jaren Jackson is now a consensus top-10 recruit, and the No. 7 overall prospect in the country, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He had been ranked 20th in the previous composite chart.

Jackson is an NBA legacy, and part of what is a strong two-man recruiting class for the Spartans, along with Xavier Tillman. Michigan State is also in the running for a few more elite recruits still on the board.

With a strong crop of returning players, led by Miles Bridges, MSU should be one of the top four or five teams in the country in 2017-18.
