Michigan State outlasted Maryland in this afternoon's Big Ten semifinal, advancing to tomorrow's title game against Purdue. The Spartans are making a strong case for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and Villanova falling to Seton Hall in tonight's Big East title game further helped their cause.
Spartan football alum Plaxico Burress doesn't need anything else to convince him that his alma mater should be a No. 1 seed. He tweeted his feelings tonight, adding in that MSU defeated Kansas, the projected No. 1 overall seed, head-to-head back in November.

Burress definitely has a point. Michigan State is 28-5 and on the verge of winning the post-season tournament in a very strong league. If Kansas is locked into the top spot, the Spartans should be a No. 1 seed along with the winner of tonight's ACC Championship game and one other team.
