Michigan State Announces 2 Defensive Linemen Have Left The Program

Michigan State will head into the fall down two members of its defensive line. Monday night, the school announced that two sophomores - Craig Evans and Montez Sweat - have left the team for "personal reasons." It doesn't sound like they'll be returning to the squad.

Evans, in his freshman year, saw significant playing time, racking up 21 tackles and a sack. Sweat had four tackles against Jacksonville State in August before being suspended by head coach Mark Dantonio.

It's unclear as to what led to their decisions. Both were expected to see increased roles this upcoming season.
