Michigan State Basketball Commits' Final Recruiting Rankings

The national recruiting services have updated their class of 2017 basketball recruiting rankings today. Here's where each of Michigan State's 2017 commits ranks.

247Sports creates a 'composite' ranking, using its own rankings along with ESPN, Rivals, and Scout. Those were updated for the class of 2017 today. Here is how the rankings shook out for both of the players joining the Michigan State Spartans next season:

Five-star PF Jaren Jackson (La Porte, IN):

National: 7
Position: 4
State: 1

Four-star PF Xavier Tillman (Grand Rapids, MI):

National: 88
Position: 20
State: 1

Michigan State has long had more of a programmatic model under Tom Izzo, but the super successful Spartans head coach is starting to compete for some top talent. Last year, he picked up Miles Bridges, and managed to hold on to him after a spectacular freshman year. This year, he has another five-star prospect coming in: forward Jaren Jackson. There is still time to potentially add to this class as well. Michigan State's class is currently ranked No. 6 in the Big Ten and No. 40 in the nation.
